Mid bulk cut?

Something has gone horrible wrong with my bulk and Ive got way too much body fat already and Ive got 6 weeks more bulking to go. Well actually its all my own fault and have been drinking a lot more than I should be!!

Is it possible to put the bulk on hold and cut back a bit to reduce my body fat then bulk up on a 2nd cycle? I need to be in the best shape I can for the end of August so any ideas greatly welcomed :mad:

Rather than switching to a full on cut just bring your kcals down to lean bulk and cut out your drinking ;)
 
That was my initial thought but having never been in this situation before I wasnt sure if it would have been better to cut then do a second bulking phase.

I seriously need to sort my drinking out, all my hard work is going to waste.

I had the same mate after rushing to where I was before I couldn't be arsed over the summer, as people haev said just cut the kcals, stick in some decent cardio too to feel better about yourself :p

Oh and cut the drinking out or bring it to a minimum, and DON'T eat kebabs and the like whilst your drunk, this was my folly!
 
Looks like a case of taking too much in. Have you got your diet and macros wrote down and monitoring them?
 
Whilist on this subject, is there any decent websites where I can enter my food for the day and it will break it down into protien/carbs etc?
 
Not sure, but I can't see it being a very sustainable thing. I eat the same thing bar dinner everyday so I keep things simple and in a spread sheet.

This + a shake are my lunches.

how much protein is that? Seems crazily excessive for one meal :p
 
not one meal lol

I have the pasta and chicken at 10.30am and the rice and chicken at 1pm then a shake (2 scoops whey + 2 scoops oats) at 3pm.

Protein on training days is 248.8g and off days is 224.5g.

I've been having huge portions/ two to three meals at once due to the natural of IF and I'm making good progress if I do say so myself. Nothing wrong with a large quantity of protein, of course it can only be used as fast as the body will allow and any excess protein not required will be excreted by the body.

As long as you stick within your macro's it shouldn't matter if you ate 1 meal every 10 hours or 10 meals in one hour :)
 
Start cutting fat now, assess what you want to do the leaner you get. (could do a very lean bulk from ~june/july into august.)

Cutting feels good.

edit: Actually if you've got 6 weeks more bulking that gives you around april > august to cut which could see some good progress. Regardless though I'd start cutting now if you're not happy with bodyfat.
