Mid-price TVs (£700 or thereabouts)

Hello all,

So I am currently reviewing my set-up (it's a KDL-42W805 TV, a Humax 1010s and a PS3 for DVDs - cutting edge it is not...), and although my first thought was a new freesat box, I wonder if I would be better served with a new smart TV and Chromecast dongle.

It has been seven years since my last TV, so I just wondered what the current best mid-price offerings were? Is there a clear list?

Thanks all - yes, looking at Rtings I got the sense that I should pay a bit more and get something better; my current TV is 42" so anything around the size is fine.

I was leaning towards a Samsung Q80T; but will also look at OLEDs more closely.
