mid priced router ?

Any router will work with Vista (or any other OS for that matter), so long as you don't need to use USB to connect to it.

yes thanks ,but are Billion any good as a make ?

If you want good and dont realy know to much about stuff, netgear can never fail.

If you know a lot about power levels and routers then linksys are top of the line, as you can 3rd party firmware upgrade almost all of them ( think all linksys use linux at the heart ? or somthing close to it).

the billion ive never heard of, and well with routers beter to get a good well known brand or you will spend more time down than up :)

I have that 7300A, no problems so far. Good little router. Better than my previous Netgear DG814, although that was good too (only with P2P did it halt connection) I think the normal user wouldn't notice the difference (since they don't use P2P)

OS is irrelevent, it communites via IP, no drivers needed. So if it doesn't work then Vista network IP protocol is borfed.

Firmware is 1.33, from Austrilian site. It is quite configurable, moreso than the Netgear. But most settings don't need to be used
