Hi all,

I've been looking for a decent mid range gaming rig for my nephew over the last couple of days, I have found a couple of deals which look okay. Just after some thoughts/feedback on the specs and if there is anything else out there on my budget?:

No competitor names and prices.

Cheers

Are you set on getting a pre-built system or can you build one yourself?

As gaming systems those look pretty poor.

Don't get the AMD one, that motherboard with that CPU can overheat/throttle and sometimes catch fire (no joke).

The 260X and 650ti aren't stunning GPU's...

This is a better option:

YOUR BASKET
1 x "AMD X6 Liberator" AMD FX-6 6300 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Six Core Gaming PC £305.05
- 1 x Standard Build Systems - Approximately 5-7 working days £0.00
- 1 x 24 MONTH WARRANTY - COLLECT & RETURN £0.01
- 1 x Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £49.99
- 1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £67.99
- 1 x No Memory Upgrade £0.00
- 1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £65.99

Total : £666.02 (includes shipping : £17.50).

Hi Doomedspeed,

I have built PC's in the past but just don't want the hassle this time. The rig you specified from Overclockers looks good and presumably they use better quality parts than the ones I listed?

Cheers
