Mid range to last 5 years?

I am, save the rest of the money towards the monitor.

Add things like chunky heatsinks later, the stock one suppleied is good for a 4GHZ OC, changing the coolers over will be easy and you can keep the board in the case as theres a nice big hole in the motherboard tray.

This guide -link - should help give you a head start when you come to build.

Take your time and read/watch a few guides and you'll find the process a lot easier than expected...

...hopfully.

If you run into any unforseen problems just post back.

Its not to late. My card was declined because it was an unusual buy. Got to wait now to speak to stupid bank to allow purchase anyway. Annoying

I might change the graphics card. Im a little worried that the GeForce GTX 460 is a refurb. The new 1 suggested (ATI Radeon HD 6870, Pre order only)has an eta of 5/9/11. Stupid question is that Eta to me or to overclockers.

On the GeForce GTX 460 OC 1024MB what does the HDMI 1.3a mean exactly? Will it not be compatible with all HDMI?

Cheers guys.

All these things are backwards compatible, 1.4/1.4a added higher resolution of 3840 × 2160p added 3D Broadcast/movie/Blu-ray. <- maybe slightly wrong but not much.

You wont be needing any of that I think;)

Just a quick question.
I have now recieved the above list of items. The motherboard has 4 dimm slots for the memory, does it matter which i put the 2 sticks of memory in?
Dimm 1 is black
Dimm 2 is blue
Dimm 3 is black
Dimm 4 is blue

Thanks for any help

Same colour.

But it will say in the manual which ones to fill to get the dual channel working.

Cheers Stulid, again.
Similar question regarding the graphics card. Does it matter if the 1 and only card goes into PCI 1 or 2?

Sorry for the questions, last time i built these werent issues and id rather ask than break something not asking.

Where inside the case is the best place for the temperature sensing wire? At the moment its idle and reading 25 degrees.

You can stick it anywhere,

Chipset heatsink.
Stick it on the cpu cooler.
Stick it between the cpu and cooler by making a grove for it to sit in.
Stick it in the airflow of the intake or outlet.
Stick it on the hdd.
Stick it on the graphics card.
