Howdy - I'm looking for a few recommendations for a Z370 motherboard. I usually go Asus, and was favouring the Strix, but I believe they had issues with LLC at launch? Have these largely been sorted out now?

If not, what other boards should I be looking at? VRM cooling and a solid BIOS/UEFI, would be more important than tons of USB ports e.g. Don't care about looks, but would prefer Intel Gigabit LAN. Will be using a dedicated sound card, so doesn't matter what onboard it has. Bluetooth and/or M.2 heatsink would be a bonus, but not 100% necessary. Willing to spend up to £200ish.

So what are my options? Ta in advance.

Save a lot of money. ASUS Prime Z370 -A or go with lower end MSI you can still hit 5Gig with the low priced boards it all depends on the Cpu lotto.

Cheers, I like the look of the Prime, and that's a big saving!

Here is a link for a good review over at toms hardware https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-prime-z370-a-atx-motherboard,5506.html

This board ASUS Prime Z370 -A £155.00 @ Overclockers covers most of the options if you need SLI if not go cheaper the MSI Tomahawk 5000/5100Ghz overclock can be picked up for £110. or if just gaming and a small overclock 4800/4900ghz the MSI Z370 A-pro £90.00 is a very good option. Do not forget Cpu overclocks dependent on Cpu lottery.

Personally dont have the motherboard but a friend does, Z370 Extreme 4 and he loves it.
Also read good thing about the motherboard VRMs, pretty good for a mobo priced like that.
