Mid Size Tower Cases...

Hey,

About once a year I tend to take a look around at whats new with cases and each year I take a look at cases to replace my aging CM ATCS 220 VX 2 which was purchased in 2002. The only problem is that every year I look and see next to nothing that takes my fancy.

I am looking for a mid tower which must be of awesome build quality, decent cooling, must look beautiful yet sophisticated and have everything that my 9 year old case has and more. There is no budget as my 220 was several hundred all those years ago and is still housing my build today, in my opinion this represents fantastic value for money.

I noticed that ATCS have made a come back after many years away and have been watching carefully but was dissapointed when I saw that they only make a single case which is a full tower. It does however seem to take design ideas from the ATCS 101 and 110 that were so stunning 9 years ago but is just a bit big.

Are there any plans for a mid tower and will they continue with the ATCS build quality of old?

So can you help and old school ATCS fan boy find a new peice of metal?
 
No suggestions which might take my fancy? Damn what happened to beautiful high quality finish cases. Everything just looks so ugly these days.
 
No budget, like i said this is likely to last me 5 or even 10 years so to put a budget against it would be pointless. For example if somebody showed me something I really like but it was £500 I would still have it.
 
And look what happened there the total cost was closer to £400 than 3 :( but as I said work are paying for all my components :) and there was not really a limit but I don't want to take the **** if you know what I mean.

However the case I will be paying for personally and it has to go with the rest of my setup. see image bellow.

*new corner desk is on its way so case could be black or silver but would prefer silver*

Just taken a look at the R3 and although I think its nice I would prefer an all alloy finish.

As for the 600T well I don't like it at all :s I could just be getting fussy as I get older.... What I really do love the look of is the old ACTS 110 but don't think i will find one of them these days.

The only one of these that I think I would consider is the 650d, it was ticking the right boxes but then it has those stupid ugly handles and a side window. :( Don't get me wrong the side window worked for me 5 years ago but now im older and wiser and just don't like that style.
 
Hmm have spotted a few Lian-Li cases that look nice on a us site.

Anybody had a look at either of the following:

there's a british site that stocks the Lian-li b10, but I can't say it, It's got four letters in the name though;)
 
ok i know they arnt good looking....(well i think they are but most dont) Is the coolermaster HAF 922.

ive just this second ordered one and cant wait to have it. all reviews are raving about it.

but as i said. you might think its ugly. and its not silver.
but awesome airflow

I think my general rule with coolermaster is that if it is not atcs it doesn't count. Also it must be all alloy no dodge cheap steel Sharp edges attacking me every time I open the thing up.

I must say once you have owned a case with excellent build quality made of the best materials It's hard to go back to anything less hence why there is no limit on the cost here and why I am being so picky... the 220 will be a hard act to follow.
