Im looking at getting a new case, and ditching my w/cing to go with a simpler rig.

I was after a Lian-Li PC6077, so i can remove the horrible looking module, get a new bezel, put a power switch on it - voila, nice looking case :) ... and suspending all my HDDs in the multitude of bays. With the money from selling my watercooling, im even tempted to get a Dell Perc4 and some 15k SCSIs

However, ive hit a stumbling block, the PC6077 can only be found at one shop, in black (i want silver :( ) and is extortionately priced.

Any alternatives ? Ive mailed a few shops about a Silver 6077, so fingers crossed

Must be nice looking, mid tower, with around 8 5.25" bays ..

Only ones ive seen are TT Armor / CM Stacker, which are no-gos , horrible looking IMO, and massive.

Thanks

Can you describe 'extortionately priced'?

The list price is £110 so anything under that is hardly extortionate as it is a specialist item.

compared to the PC7 it is, when its just the same with a different cage and fascia lol ... maybe its cos a lot less were made :p or maybe its just me :o

cheers, will try froogle, have kelkoo'd and googled , and only found black at around 100 delivered, or the 7077 (PC70 variant)

bah function over form! The Stackers are big, with loads of 5.25" bays and plenty of space for watercooling pump/reservoir. Who cares what it looks like (to a degree) You stare at the monitor, not the case!

Stackers have 11 usable bays (minus three for the suppled HD module)
