Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

I'm quite surprised to see there isn't a thread for this? Or am I missing something?

Anyway, I picked it up on final day of steam sale out of frustration at not getting anythign else. Tried it twice now, and theres just SO MUCH information to take in that I have literally no idea what Im supposed to be doing, so thought we could share some tips and hints here?

Anyone got very far with it? It's seems to me like a Batman Arkham/Assassins Creed mashup.

Yeah I wasn't trying to steal thread thunder, I searched Mordor, Shadows of Mordor and Middle Earth by both post content and title. Really weird.

Thanks for the tips. I was going Full Skyrim by raoming around finding things and ignoring the storyline quest but i guess ill crack on with that if that's the best way.

One thing i dont understand... Ive killed the same Captain now 4 times. Why isn't he dead?

Also, whenever I die and reload in a tower, i get the same dialogue over and over "What are these things" and "who are you wraith?". Is that normal?
