Could anybody suggest a suitable (not too small) case and motherboard to take the following;

- Intel Core 2 duo E5200 processor
- 4GB RAM
- Low spec passive cooled graphics card for 2D applications
- 2 x 3.5" hard drives
- 1 x DVD rewriter

The more USB sockets the better, front panel card reader, mic and headphone sockets essential.

Does not need to be an overclocked monster - the most demanding applications will be music encoding and RAW photo processing (no 3D gaming).

Looking at most cases here, they seem to be either very small - incapable of taking more than 1 HDD - or huge with 4 or more 5.25" drive bays. Is there something in between?

Can I re-use my existing 400w ATX psu, or will I need a different one?

Thanks for all and any help :D

i think you gona have to go micro atx not mini itx but you might get it all into a sugo sg05 or similar i think if you wanted small otherwise micro atx should easily take what you want

The In-Win ITX cases can accommodate that and come with a PSU. I think with two 3.5" drives you need a slim optical drive though. No need for a seperate GPU as you can get a motherboard with integrated, the best being the nVidia 9300/400 chipset. There's a Zotac 9300 board.

Something like a Silverstone SG01/02 or Lian li V350 would be fine for what you're after. Or maybe an Lian li A05. The first lot I listed are m-atx and support 2x 3.5 and 2x5.25 and would accommodate your PSU.
The A05 is full ATX, but they've placed nicely at the front to make it smaller, it would again take your PSU, 3x3.5 and I think 1x5.25

You could go for a SG05 or the In-Win, but they won't take more than 2x3.5 and 1x5.25" each and require you to shell out for a m-itx board. Where as the other 2 allow for standard components that don't cost loads and you can fit more drives in.. Might need a 5.25>3.5 converter, but they easy to come by.
