Wild shot, but was wondering if there is a cable that converts MIDI into stereo so I can simply put it into my X-Fi's soundcard mic input?

If not, what is the most affordable (cheapest :D) solution to convert it so I can record my Yamaha DD-55 (electric drums)?

You can't 'convert' MIDI to stereo audio simply using a cable; they're two completely different formats. MIDI is a data format which tells something that can generate sounds [like a synth or drum machine] what noises to make; it doesn't involve the noises themselves, if you see what I mean.

Doesn't your DD55 have stereo audio outs that you can use?

It has a Phones/Output, will that work if I plug a 3.5mm to 3.5mm between each?

If not, what options do I have in the way of hardware that will convert the MIDI to stereo?
