Behind you... Naked!
My recording setup is Atari Falcon based.

Yes, I know I could and should upgrade, but it serves me very well and I like the fact that my kit and software is all over 20 years old and it would cost me a fortune to get a PC to do what the Atari does.

Now, a few yars back, I wrecked my body and I have been unable to get into my studio as I am utterly unable to even climb stairs, and so I have recently decided to play about with my PC and just bring a small keyboard down to play about with some basic tracks and so on.

I use CuBase Audio and CuBase Studio on the Atari, and so I would like to be able to import my files, but its not vital, absolutely not vital at all.

I do however, have a couple of older CuBase Apps, and Cubasis, that I have had in various methods over the years, such as with Sound Cards or Lite versions and so on, however, every single one that I have tried to install... Fails in some way or another?

I am running Windows 10-64Bit, so could that be a reason? I dont know, I will have to try to install onto an old XP laptop to have a try out.

But, I was wondering about any other Midi Sequencing software thats available out there? For free though... I am only doing this uintil I can get back to my trusty Atari.

Thanks in advance.

Ok cheers for that.

I will now admit, that I am testing out ... Oh heck, one secuencer that I found to be a little interesting, and its in Japanese, but I quickly found the language option to make it english.

Irritatingly, on a test Midi file, I have been completely unable to get it to play a single sound?
The Built-in GS Wavetable certainly plays its sound, but when I try selecting anything else... It either fails or simply does not play anything. The small light in the USB-MIDI converter certainly flickers and so data is definitely getting to the converter, but whether the Midi device recieves any sound, is another thing?

I am using an old MU10 and a CBX-K1 as they are both small and fairly decent and will do the job without taking up any room, and I do have the original cable for the MU10 and so I will dig that out some time, but for now, its on Midi as thats what I had it on with my Atari and so I expect that should work like this now.

I will probably have to try other devices before I accept defeat, but the Midi adapter could also be bad too!
