I've heard about this for a while but never paid much attention, but my word this is breathtaking stuff. I've been playing about with this for the last few hours, it's absolutely incredible

Few images I "made"..

Rowan Atkinson as The Joker

Boris Johnson as a clown

Karl Pilkington as a cyborg in the year 2200

New members have to write the prompts in the newbie channels

/imagine [click prompt] <insert prompt here>

/imagine prompt: rowan atkinson as the joker, hyper realistic, sinister, white and red makeup, 4k - for example

But that would put higher value to actual human artwork.

Like watches today being sold off a production line, yet still the hand made watch scene is incredibly huge with watches fetching into the millions of £ or $.

Not Midjourney but I was giving a piece of text to image AI software for creating video game textures a whirl - started with the keywords "corrugated metal" and slowly refining - its interpretation of what I meant was a little different especially what I meant by metal...

First 4 progressions from left to right as I dialled it in:

Finally it started producing something a bit closer to what I was intending LOL.

Ah the dangers of "AI".

I'm starting to think that less and less care will be taken of the living world.

AI is going to start to make photography pointless soon. I mean you already see it with people putting in fake sky.

And then long term, if (when) virtual worlds get more and more rich people will end up just living in them.

Can't be far away.

And people don't think AI/CGI/virtual worlds are going to turn everything upside down?
