Watched E01 with my wife last night and really enjoyed it. Quite freaky in places and some good drama. Hope it stays sinister and doesn't go the silly route. Almost feels a little Stephen King-esque.

Its pretty good, have just finished e3 where things become much clearer.

Does feel very Stephen King, Mike Flannagan has done a few King adaptions as well as the excellent Haunting of Hill House series.

To start with its more oddness, tension and occasional jump scares. But its getting more "horrory" with E3, I suspect it will get very so soon but without spoiling it, its hard to explain.

Finished it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is like watching a King novel slowly unwind, it's quite "wordy" but with a good selection of WTF! moments dotted throughout.

Three episodes in and this is a quality little show. Some great acting and beautiful visiuals, definetly has a dream like element to it. King meets Twin Peaks.

Just finished, excellent. Has that Stephen King esq malevolent force comes to a smal town, things slowly unwind into chaos, the crazy lady not unlike the one from The Mist.

2 episodes in and really enjoying it, I love this type of show. As said above, it's got that Stephen King theme to it, small town/community, strange going things going on, and mysterious characters.

I enjoyed it, went in not seeing the trailers and was pleasantly surprised, wraps everything up nicely for a limited series which is better than sequel baiting that so many shows seem to do these days.

Finished it last night and thought it was great. Definitely shades of King but they actually succeeded in having a real, satisfying ending. Great acting throughout.

Leading aside the ... fantastical ... elements of the story, the rest can't across as being disturbingly plausible.

I still think Riley's descriptive monologue of death was the best though.

Halfway through and it's as creatively satisfying as everything else Mike Flannigan has put his mind to. Brilliantly shot, excellently scripted with one of the most well structured scares I've seen in screen for an age.

When the Sherriff is giving that wonderfully long monologue to his son in the bedroom, completely lulling you into a false sense of security only to then yank the rug full force out from under you with the face at the window... genius. I saw that in my minds eye for hours afterwards.

I really do think it's a classic example of the less you know going into it the better. The first major theatrical twist into horror it makes around about episode 3 is absolute genius and is the perfect example of Flannigan helming the new 'post modern humanistic horror' style that he helped to create with Geralds Game, first season of Hill House etc.

Finished it over the weekend and whilst I think it falters slightly in the last two episodes, it nevertheless wraps itself up with an immensely satisfying conclusion.

Feel quite bad for Flannigan and his team. All the hubbub about Squid Game has insured that this will be relatively unseen and inevitably lost to audiences in the swamp of disposable Netflix chaff. Nothing against Squid Game of course, it's a great show. Just bad timing.
