Any of you actually use these?

I honestly had not seen them until a few days ago at a show. It seems like they could be quite a good option if you're running on a strict budget and would prefer to not pay out for a new PoE switch.

I was just pondering if they may be quite a viable alternative if there's already a decent enough switch in place, but it's not PoE.

Although I guess there's nothing wrong with getting something new and futureproofing.

Do you not think they are good in that respect or do you think that PoE switches are generally affordable enough to not warrant the savings?

(We're talking switches with QoS capability etc for voice and video)

Yeah I did give some thought to the rack space and the fact you would need to manage them both.
