Did I say he done badly? He done well but at times looked edgy when the ball came to him, which was far better than i expected him to do. I did say it was a 'minor negative'.

were you at the match ? general opinion of fans there was he had a good game .. why you felt the need to single him out i dont understand ?

he's a young lad new to the prem, in light of the usual crap spouted there was no need to single him out and use the word 'negative' ... in fairness he had a great game and doesnt deserve to be 'slighted' ..

your a red, show him support :p

Far preferring this season's start compared with last :)

Obviously we wont be top come the end but as silly as it is now, loving being top of the table (which remember...never lies :p)

Awesome 2 games in and the a few of the united fans are crying over every signing, subs decision etc etc. The season is a washout 2 games in. Just like the last 2 years when with 5-10 games gone everyone had lost the plot, only for them to win the title.

Oh no, we must buy buy buy!

Its a stupid time to spend the ronaldo money because Madrid have sent the market nuts. You are better off hanging on for 12 months even if it means losing a title.

No I wasn't at the game and I do think on the whole he had a good game. The reason why raised the point about him being edgy on the ball was because he gave away a couple of needless throws in dangerous areas when we were only 1-0 and all it takes is 1 bit of luck from a Delap throw and we could be going in 1-1 at HT.

It was only a 10 or so minute period, I thought he looked far more composed in the 2nd half.

Unless you're Ayala's Mum then I'm not sure why you're so touchy about such a small observation ;)

I watched lots of it but not all, frankly with Ibra and Messi on the pitch, it was yet again that Ireland was the best player on the pitch. Control is immaculate, passing superb, just like Fabregas and the likes he knows where everyone is so gets the team out of tight situations with the right clearance of pass into safety, turns away from a tackle very well also. On top of that good finisher, very good defensive making countless tackles and interceptions while under pressure.

Decent performance to say the least, wasn't a full Barca team, but wasn't a bad Barca team either, City also didn't play their best team. I'd say its a decent step forward and building the team around Ireland as the main playmaker is working well for them.

I only watched the second half but I thought Barca were very unlucky. Hit the post and crossbar and had the majority of the possession. Looked a class above even with a lot of youth and reserve team players playing.

Agree about Ireland, he looks hell of a player. Don't think they could buy many better players in his position even with all the money they have.
