Might be using AppleCare+ for a keyboard.

Anyone know what the excess is for accidental damage on the Magic Keyboard?

I've been using keyboards for over 45 years, first time I've ever had a liquid spillage.

I’ve always liked the Apple keyboards. While this is drying out, I’m using the wired one I bought back in 2007!

Does the MX have touchid?

Because it was bought with the Studio, it’s covered. It’s a nice touch.

No Touch ID. Never had it on my keyboard so probably something you’d need to have to miss it.

Makes sense probably added very little to have it covered then.

I tried it last night and the zero key on the keypad stuck down... I flooded it with 99% IPA and will leave it another couple of days.

Beer is the keyboard killer... drowned the same keyboard a couple of years back with a Moersleutel Impy stout, gutted at the wasted beer and the need to buy a new keyboard!

IPA usually does an excellent job of drying out, while not leaving a great deal of residue behind, and also not causing any damage from its use. Hopefully that should be enough and you get away with this as it didn't look too bad!

I can’t find my photo when I put my old white Apple keyboard from 2017 in the shower to wash out all the coffee. It still worked after for a long time.

But last time I plugged it in the TAB button didn’t work.

I didn't want to do that because there's no way to completely isolate the power on these ones.

Yup, looks like I got away with it. It's back in use now :-) :km:
