1. Does the online run smoothly? - I have found that it's ok if your hosting uk -> uk is fine for me. international is laggy

It's pretty much a hit and miss, but the majority is still laggy from my experience.

#1 No it's absolutely dreadful no chat no groups nobody plays 2v2 it's all barca barca barca 1v1 and has unplayable lag you can barely tackle or anything.

Don't bother get pes6 instead a far superior online experience.
I have pes 08 and 09 and have just sold my copy of pes 09 and gone back to pes6.

the game is dead on pc the english server gets around 100 users RIP pes09 if you want great online play get pes6
quite annoyed actually as people convinced me on here that online is good but trust me it's shambolic and not worth buying the game for theres no groups no chat no competitions or anything it's basically pes 2008 with a few new features and fixes.POS.
