Might need a new SFX PSU

Currently using a Corsair SF750 and it's been excellent.
It's handled a 3080 for the last couple of years including whilst mining ETH at the same time as my CPU has been sat at 100% encoding x265

However, I'm tempted to get one of the new 4xxx series cards (possibly the 4090) and I'm starting to think my trusty 750w PSU won't be enough.

I could carry on as I am and just rig my spare Corsair RM650x up to power the 3x8pin (to 1x12pin) PCI-e cables, a bit like you do when using 2 PSUs in a mining rig. But that doesn't sit right with me so are there any recommended 1000w SFX PSUs available? And if so, are they decent quality like my current 750w one is?

They are recommending that with a 4090 you get a 3.0 power supply to minimise the risk of damage to the wiring, so I guess we will have to wait and see what becomes available. It's very likely that the manufacturers will specifically aim the first supplies at the 4090.
Yea, with a massive premium because 4090 owners will all be wanting one

New SFX units are coming but there isn’t really anything yet. Lian Li have their 850 Gold unit which has a Gen 5 adaptor but I don’t believe it’s an ATX 3 PSU. Coolermaster and Thermaltake have both announced ATX 3 SFX PSU’s, one from CM was 1300w. I’m assuming at some point we will see an ATX 3 unit from Corsair but I don’t think they’ve said anything about it yet…
Yea, seems everything is coming next year which is too late when all the new CPUs and GPUs are coming this year.
Might just have to go back to a standard sized case
