Theres a kick starter project to bring back megaman, its being run by the original creator of Megaman Keiji Inafune who left Capcom a few years ago as he got fed up with all the BS that was happening at the company.
The IP megaman is still own by capcom, but this is deem to be its spiritual successor with many of the origin staff working on this game. There's no chance it will fail has its already smashed the target goal of $900000 in its first day and its aiming for stretch goals to bring it out on other formats.
