I've had a yearly request from a firm wanting to move away from Public Folders. I'm totally behind this, since they have lots of odd little backup procedures going on which will bite them in the rear eventually.
I've shown them sharepoint when it came around to Exchange 2007 / Office 2007 but they weren't at all keen on having individual mailboxes for each of their jobs (versus having a public folders repository for each one).
They are willing to be a little flexible with their workflow structure but they do have a very intense QA procedures.
Is this still worth pursuing? I've looked into Google Apps as a solution but none of the collaborative tools seem to be fitting for their needs.
