Hi All,

We are looking to migrate from Sky Broadband to O2 broadband, the main reason because of the good deal for £9.79 (we are O2 PAYG & contract customers) a month O2 are offering for up to 20 meg and also we will shortly be getting rid of sky altogether at the end of the month so the Sky Broadband will get cut off anyway. I have just requested the MAC code from sky using their online form that they supply and have just submitted it. Just received the automated email from them to confirm that they have received my form & that I will hear from them shortly. Obviously I really want to move to O2 asap, has anyone migrated from Sky before? how long did it take you to get a proper reply from them? how long did it take for you to receive your MAC code and did you receive it through email or through the post?

Lastly I know that you cannot migrate from an LLU service to another LLU service but on sky we are cuurently around 4 meg (4096,416 connected) and I reckon that we are not on LLU (even though we are in an LLU enabled area)

Thanks all - Liam

You certainly can migrate from one LLUer to another, just only for SMPF (i.e. ADSL service provided by the LLUer).

Ok got a reply from Sky last night, they said that they will send us the MAC code as requested shortly but they did not say weather they will send it via email or through the post. Anybody know if it is through email or through post??

Thanks - Liam
