Migrating broadband advice

I've searched but can't seem to find a correct answer. I'm migrating from pipex to orange broadband and I gave them my mac code on the 3rd Feb. Yesterday I got an email from them confirming that my line is ready to go but when I phoned up they told me to keep using pipex until it stopped working.
Having never migrated before I don't know which the correct answer is and I can't be bothered to set up that ugly livebox thing until I know it is working! Thanks

phone up orange again, they should have a date from BT when the migration should go through

Im in the same boat, migrated from Pipex and are due to go active on Be unlimited on the 27th. The mail from Be said wait for the Pipex connection to stop then hook up there router, i take it this is the transition period from one isp to another and that effectively the contract with Pipex will end on this day?

Once you can't log onto Pipex anymore, just change your username/password for your Orange ones and click connect.

In your case you'll have to set up that livebox thing then once your pipex stops working.
