If you're thinking of migrating to Be, or if you've already signed up and are awaiting your modem, you can see my experiences : http://www.bumpytrails.co.uk

Speedtest comparisons with IDNet, and also between the Be Thomson TG585 Speedtouch and my Linksys WRT54GR to come!

Any reason for the migration from IDNet? Just curious is all :) I'm with IDnet and the higher speeds from Be etc are very tempting, but my exchange just went 21CN so once IDNet are happy with their testing afaik they will be offering higher speeds on those exchanges which have been enabled, assuming I haven't got the wrong end of the stick.

But Be* are good, I personally had some bad experience with them, but I hear lots of positives about them, I just hope that O2 don't suddenly decide to change the direction of the company, but I have no reason to think that :)

IDNet were very solid when I was with them, prob the best ISP I have been with. Currently with Be because I can get faster speeds, apart from a few weeks of high latency Be have been fine and its a great line to game on.

Hi Vader,

I had trouble living within my 30gb cap with IDNet, and also they said that because my exchange wasn't enabled (or scheduled) I wouldn't be able to get anything faster that 8mb ADSL Max with them any time soon.

Be have LLU'd my exchange, with a referral the the CREDIT special deal I'll get free activation, a £40 sweetener for the first year, and (up to) 24/1.3 for £17.50 a month (ie. £14.17/m for the first year). :D

Worth adding that I never had any trouble particularly with IDNet - as I said in my blog, their customer service was excellent, although their invoicing department could never get things right, they always sorted it out!
