Hello all,

I'm planning to move my email from one PC to another. One is running Outlook 2003, the new one runs Outlook 2010.

I want to know how I can move the account settings.

I've read loads of info on moving the emails, calendar, contacts and so on, and MS's advice is here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/o...t-has-outlook-2010-installed-HA102544948.aspx

BUT - none of this tells me how to move the account settings, such as the pop and smtp server addresses, login names, passwords, whether the server needs a secure connection and so on. All the "migration" advice pages just say that I need to type al that in again, but as I have a number of accounts all delivering to the same mailbox, I don't really wan to have to type it all in again.

If you've fund a way, I'd be grateful to hear of it.

Thanks!

Manually write down the info, use Asterisk Key to show the passwords. Copy .pst files onto new machine and import them, then add all account settings. You can set where you want each mail accounts email delivered.

Thanks for the reply, however that's what I'm trying to avoid. Is there was of avoiding the manual editing of account details and simply exporting/importing them?

Hi Mike,

I followed the instructions in the link you posted and it worked a treat. The registry location of the account info ws exactly what I was missing.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
