Getting my Vista retail soon and I planning the following:

I currently have XP installed on my primary drive a 74gb Raptor and I have a 150gb secondary drive.

I was going to partition the secondary drive to the same size as the raptor, install XP then upgrade that to Vista and have the machine dual boot, so that if I run into any problems with apps or games, I can fall back to XP.

Then when everything is running properly, wipe the Raptor and ghost Vista onto that instead.

Does that sound feasible?

....i think you need to install vista first then xp to get the option to dual boot! otherwise vista takes over

id partion the second drive and back up xp to the second partion on the 2nd drive then install vista on your raptor then bang xp onto the 1st partion of the 2nd drive via ghost

lol im tying myself in knots here aint i!

You can't do it that way, it's always been install the older operating system first.
