Hi one and all,

I recently purchased a new 750GB hard drive to replace my aging 160GB hard drive that i've had for over 5 years.

The new hard drive is installed and formatted (to NTFS i think) but there is nothing actually on it.

I was hoping to migrate my Windows 7 installation over to it, but I have a few games installed that I would have to reload with steam which I would like to avoid.

Is there a simple (idiot proof) procedure in order to do this, I was hoping to install windows 7 onto the new Hard drive, copy over any game installations or other files I wish to retain and then FDisk the old hard drive and remove it for storage/emergency use only. Not sure if this is possible or easily done.

All welcome to comment.
