Migrating windows

Is it possible to move a windows from one hard drive to another without a install disk?

Basically i would like to move vista from my dads pc (broughht from the purle coats) to a faster hard drive that i am giving to him. Will only be changing the the HDD keeping the same motherboard so licensing shouldnt be an issue.

If in the same machine, yes. Acronis will allow you to make an image of the old drive which you can put on the new drive.

yup, did just this on a mates laptop - she had filled her 80gb drive so just took an image, slung a newer, faster 160gb in for her and just restored the image. job done.
