Over the last year I wrote an Apple //e (enhanced) open source emulator for linux. It is pretty complete, runs pretty much all copy protected software, has all kind of features (rotating floppies!!) and is very lightweight...

Only for Linux tho...

That's awesome I'll have to check this out.

I still have a iic and a iigs both gathering dust somewhere! Yesterday I found my old Applesoft Basic Programmer's Ref Manuals for the iie and the iic owners guide. A real trip back in time to almost 40 years ago! I had a ton of games too on floppy and have used the old Apple 2 emulator(s) in the past.

Cool! I gathered a "small" collection a while back, some as "non working" and I fixed them. I'm glad I did the prices are going up quite a bit!

Take that IIgs out and remove the battery! It can actually *kill* the machine if it leaks...

I started my career on apple 2, not so much gaming, more learning to program. thus the soft spot for them!

I bought the iigs on ebay about 8 years ago and never even turned it on. I just opened it up now and it looks ok but the battery is under the psu so I'll have to remove the psu first when I get a chance this week hopefully. It's got some expansion cards in it like a ram expansion and network card.

I got the iic when I was 13. Loved it to bits. Had some great games on it but never did any coding other than logo! It's somewhere in my mother's place will have to get it back one day and relive those memories!

Pushed a new version of MII to my github. Has screen distortion, fullscreen mode etc etc...
