Mike Brewer

I don't know why but the way he pulls the handbrake up, turns off the engine and is half out of the cars before its even stopped gets on my nerves too.

I'd love to see how he treats his own cars.

I used to be heavily involved in the modified car scene and he's tried to 'infiltrate' the scene several times. I've also read accounts from people who have encountered him during the course of filming "Wheeler Dealers" and pretty much everyone of them calls him a massive front-bottom.

I've heard totally the opposite - on tv he's really annoying with all the 'old out yer aand' stuff but I real life he's a good bloke and a real petrol head who owns a bunch of nice classics he had restored, and is happy to talk normally about cars. He did a program in Afghanistan a few years ago which was quite good.

Really gets on my nerves in Wheeler Dealers when acting like a typical car dealer (don't know why, but calling a car a "motor" really annoys me), but as mattyg says I can imagine he's different in the flesh when there aren't cameras about.

I think what winds me up about this guy the most is his lack of knowledge. He's been floating around the discovery channel for at least 15 years and god knows how long as a car trader.

When it comes down to anything remotely technical you can actually see the lights go out in his brain! How is this possible when all you do all day is talk about and deal with cars?

That's what REALLY winds me up about him.

You do realise you're posting in "Motors"... :p

He was and still is a car dealer, apparently he was a bit of a bell end and when he got his tv programme his *******ery increased substantially especially at auctions. This is from people in the trade but must be taken with a pinch of salt as no doubt he is doing rather much better than most dealers ;)

Wheeler Dealers is one of my favorite TV shows, but if I'm honest, it's a lot more about watching Edd work his magic - than for Mike to 'wheeler dealer' his way to a massive net loss (if you took into account the cost of man hours Edd puts in). :p
