Terribly sad. Had only really started following the IPWR over the last few days and had been watching the updates and progress. Big shock this morning.

Dreadful news. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a place in this years TCR, inspired by Mike & his enthusiasm for cycling & adventure. Such a tragedy that I'll not be able to thank him personally for the opportunity.

Sucks.

I randomly bunked with him during the 2011 Tour Divide, didn't know who he was at the time.

Terrible for everyone involved. I heard almost straight away on the Twitter feed on Friday morning and worked out who the rider was.

Not knowing the details you don't want to speculate but it is just awful all round.
