Mike Singleton (1951 – October 10, 2012) was a British author and video game developer who wrote various well-regarded titles for the ZX Spectrum during the 1980s. His titles include The Lords of Midnight, Doomdark's Revenge, Throne of Fire, Dark Sceptre and War In Middle-earth

For the huge amount of time I 'wasted' playing Lords of Midnight and War in Middle Earth as a teenager, I salute you, Mike.

Lords of Midnight was and is a truly epic game. In only 48k too.

Didn't play lots if midnight but certainly put far to many hours into war in middle earth.was easily one of the big titles i remember when i was younger

Midnight was decades ahead of its time, one of my favourite games of all time. Very sorry to see him go

I remember absolutely gutted when midwinter 2 was vga only. Readding the list of titles he was involved in is a real trip down memory lane.
