i am getting this error all the time `ERROR: could not resolve dns name`
using the router as a an AP,getting the ip address from a different router,for wifi at other end of house
have even tried default DHCP using a laptop connected to my 4G mikotik LH6 and unpluging my pi-hole box
nada no luck :(
Have managed to get it working but cannot update the firmware,what am i doing wrong?ideas please or shall i just leave it alone with stable 7.5 firmware
 
:( Failed again,have lost all contact with the hap now.will have to start again from scratch,this will be at least the 10th time
after i get this to actually work i will NEVER touch it again

In winbox you can login using the MAC address, click on the MAC address to the left in winbox.
As long as you bridge everything together and set the Lan address static disable dhcp it should work as an ap.
Bridge/ports to add everything to the bridge/port wifi1/wifi2/ether1/ether2/ etc,etc

Is there a way to flash update via winbox/terminal?
i can put the update file onto the router... i think.it shows up in `files`but cant see a `flash`option
 
For what it’s worth, can I suggeat you do a factory reset then select AP in the initial configuration screen and leave it alone? The default settings work pretty well now. There is need to wipe all the settings and start from scratch a la 2016

Got it upgraded to 7.8 Stable now
dragged the update to the files folder and rebooted.worked.Must have been doing something wrong before as i am sure i tried that already
