Im in the market for a new laptop, i was just wondering what type of games this graphics card will play.

Integrated Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator X3100

The processor speed is ok at 1.7GHz and 2gb ram. Will that kind of spec play Team Fortress 2 and CSS?

Thanks.

in general onboard intel graphics has always been pants for gaming (might be better now though)

most can handle TFC in 1024x768 (most of that is probaby cpu based mind!)

im gonna guess at least a 8600M or higher for css + TF2

i wouldnt even think about fps gaming on an integrated card tbh.

Gotta agree, integrated video chips are useless. You can get a Dell Vostro 1700 with 2.1 GHz C2D, 8600M GT 256mb, 2 GB ram, 250GB HDD, 17" 1440*900 screen, XP or Vista, all for just over £500. Or a Vostro 1500 with 2.4 GHz C2D, 8600M GT 256mb, 3 GB ram, 250GB HDD, 15" 1280*800 screen, XP or Vista, all for about £530 (£550 for 1440*900 screen).

Really not worth buying a cheap laptop with integrated video when something that can genuinely run games is so little extra. You'll just end up selling it and buying something that can run games. The above Vostros can even play Stalker and Oblivion.

Seconded. My bro has the 1700 and it can even play Crysis (just).

Hopefully the integrated graphics problem in the PC market looks set to change pretty soon with the new AMD chipsets coming out. But as it stands, I wouldn't touch an Intel integrated graphics laptop for gaming.

If you can handle low graphics settings then that integrated GPU will do the trick, of course they're not the best for gaming but if it's a cheap laptop then you can't expect much.
If you can find a Vostro for the above prices then that's a great option, however, I'd imagine that's quite a bit over the current budget given the specs you listed.
