Basically, I had a small (I say small, but it was a catasrophe) milk spilling incident and cleaned as best as I could.
About a month later, I find dried milk under my mouse pad that didnt smell.
I thought I'll obviously wash it off. And that's where the problem came.
It was dry and non smelling, and once washed off, the whole pad stinks of off milk.
I've tried washing it with all sorts apart from bleach. Would bleach destroy the pad or get rid of the milk smell? I really wouldn't mind spending £20 for another pad (steelseries 4HD) as this smell is disgustingly bad.

Try sprinkling bicarbonate of soda on it. It soaks up spilled coffee smell in carpets so may work on milk.

I'm tired of all the sensible replies in GD lately. I'm going to bring it back down to normal OcUK levels.

Have you considered buying a new mouse mat?

Just bin it and buy a new one.
Think I will

I was considering, but if there was something I could do to remove the smell, then I would do that.

Yeah, the replies are ticking me off.

stick it in a washing machine on rinse ?

Concerned it'll destroy it, but I guess if I'm about to buy one, I may as well try.

I'd say you destroyed the pad, with milk as the weapon. In the study.

That's Cluedo.

Also. It's a shame you didn't skim the pad, never go full fat on a spillage if you can avoid it. So I've curd anyway.
