So I noticed a trend. Highly overclocked cards might score higher in benchmarks but their minimum FPS seems to decline past a certain point. You can see this in I think 8packs review threads when he posts stock and OC results.
In my own limited experience I'm enjoying my new 780 classys. I have got 1250 stable in the 5m I had my first play today, however even though this causes no artifacting I find dropping back to closer to 1200 gives me better min frame rates with very little loss to FPS. Suits me fine as I only care about FPS in gaming not benchmark leaderboards so I guess I can now step of the voltage to get better temps or have my cake and eat it.
But why oh why is this the case?
