Right, to cut a long story short, i curbed my back left alloy and tyre by misjudging a corner. Looking back, I have no idea how i managed to do it, but i poked the kerb and had a nice little bounce off it.
After taking a look and taking a couple of pictures, I'm really desperately hoping that i dont have to change the tyre @ £80 a corner

From what I can see its a skuff on the tyre, quite shallow, but does it still constitute damage to the side wall of the tyre in the eyes of the law? I'm not too worried about having skuffed the alloy, theyre typical 'I cant judge the distance to the kerb' alloys
Ideas? Suggestions?
