My friend picked up his 09 Cosra VXR yesturday so I thought I'd be nice to get some snaps of it next to mine.

Just a little about the cars, his is standard apart from a Remus, he'll be getting a stage 2 remap once he's coverd a 1000 miles. Mine is standard too at the moment but I'll be getting a full remus, stage 2 remap, rear anti roll bar, LSD and uprated springs a breaks when he takes his in to be done.

Sorry about the small size, I resized them a little too much. oops.

Any idea how the Corsa VXR fares against the Fiesta ST and the new Clio 197 Cup?

From what i've seen on 5th gear the Clio was a second or so faster around the track and appeared to have a bit more of a solid chassis.

Fiesta ST is 40hp down but would proably hold its own in the bends. The clio is also slightly more powerful and a better chassis so a better car overall than the Cosra. The Cosra is still a very good car, was impressed with it.

I can't help but think that Corsa VXR's look very awkward. The proportions are just not "right", especially from the rear/side profile or full on rear profile.

This is exagerrated even more when parked next to an astra.

Liking the VXRs in arden blue, best colour for them, horrific interiors still but I liked the Corsa and the Astra on the VXR track day, only thing I dont understand is why VX decided to paint all the calipers blue on the VXR range.

Ah I had an annoying rattle, its just a temp fix to stop two pipes clanging. They don't get hot and the rag is secure.

Isn't the ungainly front rake of these new cars designed purely to be kinder to pedestrians upon impact? I agree is does create an awkward shape and some designers do better jobs than others in this regard. The Peugeot 307 isn't so bad considering it has the same triangle profile. Can't think of a decent looking wedge actually.

Really like both cars, love the interior of the corsa, well the seats atleast!

Dont do smaller cars so the vectra would be my choice. Great colour choice
