I've been running a *mostly* vanilla server for a number of years now since the sad demise of the Linktart server. TheMustardSeed was created to try and replace that gap, with 1.13* world gen

Whitelist is on

Plugins are:
CoreProtect
GriefPrevention
UltimateTimber
Dynmap
We've undergone many changes, but we are at 1.16.4 as of now. The original spawn is from way back when @1.13.*

A few of us have uprooted and decided to rebuild in 1.16.* and beyond. All the old farms are still at old spawn but are no longer easily accessible, nor may they work. We are rebuilding. New 1.16.* terrain is being generated. Not because we have to, because we *want* to. World spawn has been shifted far enough to generate new 1.16.* terrain but is still close enough to an End Fortress for End Access.

Wanna join in? Feel free.

Connect: 88.150.171.98 or themustardseed.mcserver.ws The server is based in London. It's a PVE survival server set to Hard difficulty. There is a 50% player sleep Data Pack so only 50% of online players need to sleep the night away!

Villager breeder built and iron farm populated at spawn. Only one level atm, but plans to tile upwards. This is in spawn chunks so runs 24/7. No idea on rates as yet, but it's enough for the time being. Trading hall on its way, but I needed sticky pistons so a quick and dirty slime farm later......

This much slime in 30 mins. It's a "force" spawner, so will only work properly if you are the only player in the overworld. I think that's about 26 stacks slime balls p/h.

I just can't help myself lol

Dynmap has the options of adding markers. Added one to the Slime Farm - would this be useful going forward?

Couple of new things. I've built the villager trading hall and it is ready to use. I've managed to grind up every full level enchant with the exception of Impaling that I got to level III and couldn't be bothered to keep trying lol. It has a nice feature where you can infect then cure a villager a few times to get him to lower his trades. For example, the farmers will initially buy 22 carrots for one emerald. After a few infections and cures, this drops to 1 carrot for 1 emerald, so a worthwhile thing to do. Also, all my Libnrarian's books are all priced at 1 emerald each after doing the same thing. It's built and spawn proof, but I still need to make a building around it it make it look a bit better.

The discounts are player specific, so you will need to do the same if you want the better rates, if not it takes longer to trade. Infecting them is easy, pull the lever in front of the villager you want to cure and he'll drop down and get turned into a zombie. Pull the lever gain and up he pops. Throw a splash potion of weakness at him then feed him a golden apple. After a few minutes he'll turn back into a villager with better trades. Rinse and repeat.

This led me to an issue - I needed a LOT of golden apples (as well as spider eyes, sugar, brown mushrooms and gunpowder for splash weakness pots but I just foraged creepers and spids etc I will have to make a good sugar and creeper farm soon for Elytra rockets. Watch this space.......). So I made a basic goldfarm. Into the nether portal at spawn, then head up the ladder and keep going. AFK spot is at the very top - take a pearl to get down quicker. Not the fastest gold farm, but yields about 14 stacks of ingots p/h or 102 gold blocks. It comes in ingot form but there is a crafting table up there to make the ingots/blocks. Force spawner design. Uses turtle eggs - the magma blocks are to stop piglin spawns that would lower the rates. The flesh is sorted out and dumped after 15 double chests have been filled up. If your items do fall into the sorting system they should be safe as I'm filtering out the flesh, not the nuggets (or anything else that ends up in the system).

Iron farm - seems to be producing about 16.5 stacks of iron blocks every 24 hours, so roughly 6 stacks of iron ingots p/h is my maths is correct. This runs 24/7 and has already produced over two double chests of iron blocks, so I may disable it for a while, or add more storage. The poppies are fed into a composter for a slow supply of bone meal.

Well worth doing the curing thing.....

Gold farm way up on the Nether Ceiling!

Not too shabby for a quick and dirty build. 1 hour yield. Getting 3000 magma blocks took the longest lol

So this much iron every 24 hours. Noice!!
