Minecraft Crashes

I finally submitted to the pressure and bought Minecraft. I think its a great little game, it would be even better if it was stop crashing to desktop randomly.

When I first got it, I couldnt play it for more then a few minutes without a crash, now I can go about 30mins-1hr before a crash. I have googled the issue and I have updated my GFX, Java and I did try this batch file thing but it didnt find what it needed to work, which seems to be normal right now.

So yea, any ideas, or is this just how it is with Minecraft? Anyone know if there is an error log thats automatically kept upon a crash?

set the view distance to tiny or the setting above. I find that I get C2D with the higher view distances even though my system shows no lag.

Try 64bit Java.

Just go to the Java site with a 64bit browser and install.

Did both these and I have only had one crash since, I think I might have caused it though. Thanks guys!
