Minecraft expertise required - hacks?

Hi all,

Friends of ours were playing Minecraft offline (no internet where they were) and it started displaying the below -

They have spoken to the person with the username that was used in the game however they had no internet and the other person wasn't even playing Minecraft that day.

Anyone familiar with this? I'm leaning towards a crappy Google store mod that has been installed and it was playing tricks with the friends list but it's all a bit odd.

this looks like bedrock edition, and not the java edition?

well yep i would suggest checking what mods are installed in first instance.
how was their server hosted? and how were they connected togeather

if theres no internet then i dont see how some one did that.
