Minecraft gift card ?

Hi,

I'm an expat, living in the USA. Coming over to the UK next month for a holiday. I want to get my nephew in the UK a minecraft gift card, so he can play the full game on his laptop.

Do you know if i get one here in the USA that it'll work on a UK created account ?

If not where can i grab one from ? WH Smiths ? preferably somewhere at Gatwick, so i don't have to go find a game shop after a long haul flight.

In the USA the game cards are readily available, everywhere.
 
mine craft gift card? that's a new one on me. well as far as I'm aware minecraft isn't region locked or anything? not in the way that say WoW is with dedicated EU and US servers. MC is just join anyserver or make your own so it shouldn't matter where the code is purchased or redeemed.

just had a quick google and see there are the pre-paid cards readily available over here too. can either grab one for the US as I imagine it would work or just grab one when you're over here to be sure :)

obviously if someone could confirm or deny my speculation then problem solved :)
