Minecraft - Gift still possible ?

Not sure if im correct on this, but my friend said there is an option to send a gift code or something to a friend that allows access to the actual full features (Not like classic)

So I was wondering if anybody has this kind of code laying around ? Please excuse my lack of knowledge about this, if no such thing exists, ignore this.

Bah, costs money. Thought its like with some Beta games, Get in, send a code to a friend kind of thing.
