Minecraft help please

My daughter and her friend both have ipads and pocket edition Minecraft.

How do they get to play on 'their' own little world? They want a world where only they can play.

Also, how does one set it all up as i have no clue.

This won't be in the same house but from miles apart.

I'm not entirely sure how it would work between ipads but on a PC you'd have a server you'd connect to.

You've also popped this in the wrong forum - this one is for Tabletop games. I'll ask a mod to move it though
