Minecraft NoDrop add on help

Hi all,
My stepson is bugging me to pay £30 for this nodrop addon that will keep his inventory items when he dies.
I've done some digging and it seems to me that this is a server side mod? so he doesnt really need it as the server dictates the rules. He doesn't run a aserver himself but plays on one with this addon.
Any help appreciated.

It's probably a bukkit add on with a user list simple answer either pay the £30 or find a new server like this one - http://linktart.co.uk/

If its an actually add-on its a scam I bet

It could be a donation reward to a server he plays on though that will allow him to keep the items even when he dies.

£30 is very steep though just tell him to not die

well after me explaining several times he still wants to buy it- oh well it'll be a lesson for him.
