Minecraft OCuK Forum Members Server Thread

If anyone died next to a lava spring on top of a mountain and lost a load of glass and a diamond pick let me know.
You can have the pick back but the glass is forming part of my building now :P

Still immortal :(

It's slightly different to the normal invisible bug, according to the forum the only fix atm is to delete my profile from the server, or for Notch to fix it.

When they say delete your profile form the server I think its from Notch server the one that lets you login & not the server I am hosting.
But I will do a support ticket to ask the host if they have any user profiles saved there side as I have nothing on the parts I can see.
Just got home from work thats why nothing has been done sooner.

Hi not sure if you can help one of our players has a bug that they are immortal & they cant pick anything up.
They have left the server rejoined, I have restarted the server & still they have the bug.
They have looked on forums about it & have found out they need to have there profile deleted from the server to fix it.
Does the server your end save users profiles ? if so can you delete player lyon85.
or
Do they mean Notchs side of the server the one that lets you logon to play minecraft.

Thanks

Whenever you join a server a profile is created on that server, it contains stuff like last known location and inventory. It's not on Notchs end, thinking about it now, your server is multiplay right? I had it in my head that you were hosting it on a box of your own, there may be no access to these files from multiplay. You would have to contact them instead, but tbh it's probably not worth it. I'll just wait until there is a real fix for this. Thanks for trying though :)

Yup I'm giving this game a few days to settle down, seems to be the best course after every major update.

In the meantime I suggest that you all have a look at Empires mod for the source engine. Excellent mod I started playing around 4 years ago then stopped after about a year. It's been in development though since then and a lot of nice things have happened with it. Unfortunately the community is quite small but as such is quite close-knit. There's only really one server where everyone plays and it's 64 players so you get some pretty awesome games at peak times and there's always atleast 10-15 players in it. They're very welcoming to new players so long as you avoid the one or two pompous gits that are pretty unforgiving. Very mic orientated as teamwork is absolutely key to the game.

Anyway it's free so well worth the download.

I think we should build this
