Minecraft Quarry Question

Hopefully a quick easy question here.

I have a quarry, 3 force engines, all good and powered. The quarry starts to create itself, finishes, mines 10-12 blocks and just stops. Blocks go into the chests, but after the 10-12 blocks it all stops. If I recreate the quarry it does another 12 blocks and stops again.

Any ideas?

No ideas, but to help people, what version of Minecraft are you running, and what add-ons/plug-ins. Is this online or offline? If online what pug-ins are on the server?

Ignore me. I didn't add water to the engines. I swear you never had to but obviously I was wrong. I just need to find a way to constantly pump water into the engines now, or I will always be running back and forth.
