Minecraft server for quick play

Do any Minecraft servers exist that are hardcore survival mode and offer play for people who only play for short periods of time?

I like playing and like the initial setup but usually don't have time to play for long (30 mins - an hour usually)

So do something like go on, start a basic house and mining. Create a few tools, chests etc. then leave.

I get put off when I jump into a server with nothing and there are huge houses built out of gold, monorails etc.

there's an ocuk server i beleive, might be an idea to join up for that.

http://linktart.co.uk/ sign up and put in a whitelist request. The vanilla server is running 1.7.2 - there's some buildings and tracks at spawn, but world borders are 10k each way, so there's plenty of space! Find a place and do as you wish. There's small builds and big builds.

Thanks. I joined the linktart server before a few years back and got addicted. I ended up spending months on it - I quit when one night I mined diamonds for ~7 hours straight and realized I had to be up for work in 2 hours

At that point I quit and deleted the game

Maybe a server with a time limit of 1 hour would be good? (and much smaller map size of course) - Just see who can get the most minerals in a set time or something
