I have a few family member that pay that horibal game minecraft. Thay all pay to use a server so they can play togeather so i thought about setting up a little system just to run it for them.

Would an i3 be upto a 10max person minecraft server. I know server like threads not power so i thought an i3 for this would be fine??

i3 should be fine though its awhile since I ran a server for it - it does (or did) eat quite a bit of RAM though on the server side.

Again unless its change - you also need a fair bit of upload speed if people are connecting from the internet to it as otherwise performance suffers when a new person joins and syncs with the latest data.

When i test me fiber speed it say i get 19mg upload.
On the ram side i have 8gb in a spears box and can pick up a new kit for £45 now days so should also be on for that

just been reading up on the server thing and when what i can see, the system requirements for a 60 person server are core 2 duo and 1.5gb of ram.....
i am not thinking a Pentium and 8gb of ram would be ok?
