So...bought a Steam Link and Controller t'other day from Game (as they were on sale) so that my daughter could play all her favourite PC games on the TV downstairs - one of which is Minecraft (the Windows 10 app version).

Having searched the internet I have now been able to create a shortcut in Steam which will launch Minecraft from the Steam Link and so it can be seen on the TV. However, even though I've got over what I thought would be the biggest hurdle, I still have the problem that the game refuses to recognise the Steam Controller.... :(

I don't seem to be able to find a solution to this - could anyone help me out here please? Is this an issue with the controller itself (i.e. should I get a different controller) or are there more fundamental issues?

I got round it in the past by using a wireless Xbox 360 controller plugged in to the pc (range was good enough to use it on the other side of the house).

They've since added windows games to gamestream (shield) so haven't tried them through steam for a while.
